About United Momentum

United Momentum is more than a name. It is about empowering people, passion and purpose. I feel honored to coach others as they identify, develop, and enhance their leadership skills. I see the capacity to lead in everyone and I love nurturing leaders in every stage of development.

My name is Carrie Ellis and I am the founder of United Momentum. I coach to empower people to visualize a future full of possibility. Using assessments, such as the DISC, and insights from my fifteen years of experience in mental health counseling and ministry, I help people turn their personal style and driving forces into their greatest assets.

My Story

I know from experience how draining it feels when your work and life are busy, but not purposeful. Before working with a professional coach, I had important roles, such as being a mother, volunteering, working in ministry, and counseling.

What was the problem?

I felt like life was living me. I chose actions based on how I felt in that moment rather than intentionally aligning my decisions with my passion, my purpose, or my best qualities. Without a plan and an overarching objective, I had no way to evaluate my actions or progress. I wanted to do everything- and that was the problem. Instead of feeling proud of my accomplishments, I felt frustrated and overwhelmed because I was trying to do too much, and couldn’t live up to my own high standards. My thoughts were dominated with thoughts like, “I regret that …”, or, “I should start…”

Before making a change, my friends, family, and colleagues perceived me as frenzied and overwhelmed. I was not living the life I felt called to lead, but now I am.

What Changed?

Working with a coach inspired me to:

  • Understand my core personality and to embrace my personal strengths and challenges.

  • Realize the value of my story and experiences and use it to help others.

  • Live in a way that helped me determine a purpose. That purpose helped me clarify priorities and set appropriate goals.

My life felt united. My friends and family noticed my calmer demeanor that came from devoting enough time to my priority tasks. Years later, I continue to work with my coach because our sessions encourage me to slow down, utilize my strengths, and identify potential obstacles. I achieve more because I plan my goals, and hold myself accountable for taking action towards them.

I continue to devote my time to live out my greater purpose. I have momentum. Now instead of my life living me, I live my life. That is united momentum.

Let’s explore how you or your team can achieve united momentum.
